BIG TEN STAR: Scott Reedy (NTDP 2015-17) earned the Third Star of the week in the Big Ten for his performance for the Minnesota Gophers. Reedy scored in back-to-back games against Ohio State, including a game-winning goal on Friday (Feb. 15) and a goal within the first 20 seconds of the game on Saturday (Feb. 16). This marks Reedy’s second time being named to the Big Ten Three Stars.

HOBEY BAKER: Seven NTDP alumni make up the 81 NCAA players named to the first round of voting for the 2019 Hobey Baker Award: Evan Barratt (2015-17), Casey Fitzgerald (2013-15), Adam Fox (2014-16), Quinn Hughes (2015-17), K’Andre Miller (2016-18), Josh Norris (2015-17), and Joseph Woll (2014-16). Of the 81 players named, the top 10 will be announced on Mar. 20, and the finalist named on Apr. 12.

800 POINTS: NTDP alumni Phil Kessel reached an 800 point milestone in a matchup against the Calgary Flames. Kessel joins Patrick Kane as the only two active NHL players with 800 career points, and places himself as the 17th American player to have reached 800 career points in the NHL.  

500 GAMES: NTDP alumni Jimmy Howard played in his 500th game on Thursday (Feb. 14) against the Ottawa Senators. The Red Wings goaltender is third in the franchise with the amount of games played and wins, with 238 wins after the victory against the Senators.

RECORD BREAKING: NTDP alumni Patrick Kane’s 19-game point streak is the longest active streak in the NHL, with 42 points total. Not only is Kane turning heads in the league, he has also set the Blackhawks record for recording assists in 15 straight games, preceding Stan Mikita’s prior record of assists in 14 straight games.
