CATCHING THE CRUSADERS

The U18s have won the two previous games against Holy Cross. The last matchup was on February 16, 2002 at Hart Center in Worcester, MA as the NTDP defeated the Bulldogs, 3-1. Tim Wallace, Nate Raduns, Ryan Kesler (Anaheim Ducks) scored for the NTDP, while Tim Roth stopped 25 of 26 shots in the victory.  Holy Cross will enter the game against the U18s after a 2-0 win against Robert Morris on Dec. 8.

TAMING THE BULLDOGS

The U18s will face off against the University of Minnesota-Duluth beginning at 8:07 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 5, at AMSOIL Arena. The last time the NTDP and Minnesota-Duluth met was on Oct. 22, 2016, when the U18s took home a 2-1 victory. Minnesota-Duluth will enter the matchup after a 3-1 loss on Saturday, Dec. 29, to Clarkston University. Bulldog forward Parker Mackay scored the lone goal for his team in the loss, and Hunter Shepard was netminder for the duration.

The U17s will face the Tri-City Storm twice at home on Jan. 3 and 4, with a start time of 7:00 p.m. ET/ The last time Team USA faced Tri-City was on March 10 and March 11, in a two-game road series. The U18s won both games: the first 8-2, and the second 9-5. Tri-City has a No. 10 ranked power play (19.5%) and No. 2 ranked penalty kill (85%). Its offense is No. 7 in the USHL, and its defense is ranked No. 1.
