The U18s dropped a pair of games against collegiate opponents over the weekend, which a narrow 1-0 loss to Michigan State on Saturday (Dec. 15) at Munn Ice Arena. The Spartans outshot the U18s by a 33-28 margin and NTDP alum Patrick Khodorenko scored the long goal of the game on a power play 4 minutes, 34 seconds into the second period. Cameron Rowe (Wilmette, Ill.) made 27 saves in the loss.

The U18s suffered a second loss Sunday (Dec. 16) against Lake Superior State by a 7-3 final. Marshall Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.), Ryder Rolston (Birmingham, Mich.) and Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored, but the U18s could not complete the comeback.
