The U.S. National Under-18 Team fell 5-4 in overtime to the Youngstown Phantoms on Friday (Dec. 7) at USA Hockey Arena. A goal from Ryder Rolston (Birmingham, Mich.) and two from Henry Thrun (Southborough, Mass.) brought the U18s back from a 3-0 deficit. Sean Farrell (Hopkinton, Mass.) scored to put the U18s ahead late, although the Phantoms tied the game with 1 minute, 1 second remaining in the third period, and ultimately won the game in overtime. Cameron Rowe (Wilmette, Ill.) made 20 saves in net.

The U18s earned a 6-4 victory over the University of Maine Black Bears on Saturday (Dec. 8) at USA hockey Arena. Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored twice for the U18s, while Case McCarthy (Clarence Center, N.Y.), Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y.), Jack Hughes (Orlando, Fla.), and Patrick Moynihan (Millis, Mass.) also tallied goals for the U18s. Spencer Knight (Darien, Conn.) recorded 37 saves in the victory.
