Dec. 1, U18s vs Waterloo Black Hawks (W, 3-1)

The U.S. National Under-18 Team recorded a 3-1 win over the Waterloo Black Hawks on Saturday (Dec. 1).

Case McCarthy (Clarence Center, N.Y.) scored the opening goal for the U18s in the second period.  Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis.) added his 19th of the season to put the U18s ahead by two, and a third goal from Michael Gildon (Plano, Texas) helped secure the win. NTDP alum Joey Cassetti (NTDP 2015-17) scored the lone Black Hawks goal in the third period. Goaltenders Cameron Rowe (Wilmette, Ill.) and Spencer Knight (Darien, Conn.) made a combined 35 saves in the victory, and the U18s outshot Waterloo by a 40-36 margin.
