DOWNING THE FLYING ACES: The Central Illinois Flying Aces enter two road matchups with the U17s after posting a 3-2-1-0 record in the early portion of the 2018-19 USHL season. The U17s hope to continue its undefeated streak against the Flying Aces, having won all four matchups in the 2017-18 season.

The Flying Aces have a three-way tie in point leaders so far this season. NTDP Alum Trevor Janicke (2015-17), along with Tate Singleton and Cal Kiefiuk, have each tallied six points in six games for Central Illinois. Goaltenders Ryan Snowden and Mitchell Gibson have recorded a combined 4.22 goals-against-average and .888 save percentage since the beginning of the regular season.

TAMING THE TERRIERS: Boston University faces off against the U18s with an 0-2-0 record in the 2018-19 regular season, as the U18s set its sights on earning a win against the Terriers after last year's matchup was canceled due to inclement weather. . Boston University was ranked 15th in the most recent USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

The Terriers dropped both of its games against Minnesota State, suffering a 4-3 loss on Friday (Oct. 12) and a 5-3 loss the next day (Oct. 13). Despite the team’s slow start, NTDP alum David Farrance has taken the lead for points on the team with four (0-4-4) in two games. Former NTDP goaltender Jake Oettinger has recorded a .877 save percentage and 4.07 goals against average in net for the Terriers.

SEEING CRIMSON: Harvard University’s matchup against the U18s will serve as an exhibition game before its first NCAA challenge against Dartmouth College on Saturday (Oct. 27). The Crimson ended its 2017-18 season with a 15-14-4 overall record, including a 7-2 win against the U18s.

Ryan Donato led the team in points with 43 (26-17-43) in 29 games, while NTDP alum Michael Floodstrand tallied 10 points (4-6-10) in 33 games. Goaltenders Merrick Madsen, Michael Lackey, and Cameron Gornet combined for a .912 save percentage and 2.41 goals against average. NTDP alums Lackey and Floodstrand return to spend their senior years at Harvard University, while fellow alum Adam Fox is set to begin his junior campaign.

BEATING BIG GREEN: Dartmouth’s contest with the U18s on Monday (Oct. 22) marks the first game for the Big Green in the 2018-19 season. The U18s look to take the lead in all-time matchups with the Big Green during Monday’s matchup.  Dartmouth ended its prior season with a 16-17-2 record overall record, including a 3-0 loss to the U18s.

Returning forward Will Graber led Dartmouth in points last season, tallying 26 (9-17-26) in 35 games, while current senior Shane Sellar trailed in second place with 22 points (11-11-22) in a total of 34 games. Dartmouth goaltenders Devin Buffalo, Adrian Clark, and Dean Shatzer combined for a .899 save percentage and 3.04 goals against average. Clark and Shatzer return to mind the net for the Big Green.
