ALL-AMERICAN PROSPECTS GAME: Under-18 NTDP players turned heads Wednesday (Sept. 19) in the All-American Prospects Game. The faceoff between Team Leopold and Team Langenbrunner saw 10 goals scored, eight of which were netted by NTDP players.  Representing Team Leopold, Cole Caufield netted two goals, Jack Hughes recorded two points, John Beecher  scored once and Michael Gildon (Plano, Texas) tallied one assist. Four NTDP players tallied points in Team Langenbrunner’s win: Matthew Boldy and Marshall Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y. ) recorded three points each, Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y.) scored once, while Alex Turcotte  added  two assists. Goaltenders Cameron Rowe  and Spencer Knight each saw time in net for their respective sides, as well. Rowe stopped 17 of 19 shots for Team Leopold, while Knight made 12 stops in 13 attempts in Team Langenbrunner’s win.

ALL-AMERICAN HONORS: Matthew Boldy put on a show-stopping performance in the All-American Prospects Game en route to Player of the Game honors. Boldy tallied three points, including the game-tying goal with 1 minute, 7 seconds remaining in the third period, and an assist on the game-winning goal.

HOME OPENER COUNTDOWN: The countdown is at one week until the U.S. National Under-17 Team welcomes the Madison Capitols to USA Hockey Arena for the NTDP home opener.
