WINNING THE CLOSE ONES: The U17s have played half of their 10 games within two-goal finishes and have won all five of those contests, including four one-goal games.

The team held on to win their first USHL contest Saturday night, a 5-4 final over Sioux City, that included scoreless hockey over the final 15-plus minutes of regulation.

The U17s have also produced one-goal wins over the New Mexico Ice Wolves (3-2), Shreveport Mudbugs (3-2) and Minnesota Elite League All-Star Team (5-4) to begin the season.

BOUNCE BACK: After all four of the Under-17 Team's losses this season, the squad has responded with a win in their following game.

The 10-game stretch to start the year without back-to-back losses is the furthest into the season a U17 team has gone without losing two in a row since the 2020-21 campaign, a run which spanned 16 games.

KEEN ON KUEHNE: U18 defenseman Lincoln Kuehne (West Fargo, N.D.) picked up a pair of assists in the team's 3-2 over Robert Morris on Saturday, giving him his third career multi-point effort with the NTDP.

The Colorado College commit won a puck battle in the corner before sliding a perfect pass to Mason Moe (Eden Prairie, Minn.) in the slot for Team USA's first goal of the game.

On the eventual game-winner in the third, Kuehne cleared the d-zone and sent a great outlet up the ice to Richard Gallant (Concord, Mass.), who led the 2-on-1 for the winning score.

Kuehne is up to three points in 10 games this season after registering 11 (2G-9A) in 53 games last year.
