GREEN BAY GAMBLERS: The U17s begin their three-game weekend with a ride along Lake Michigan to take on the Green Bay Gamblers.

Green Bay moved back into second place in the USHL's Eastern Conference last weekend as they now own a 30-15-5-2 record for 67 standings points through 52 games played.

German forward Julian Lutz leads the team with 34 assists and 54 points. He gets a ton of help up front with an additional four skaters with at least 40 points on the year. Jayson Shaugabay is second on the team with 49 points (15g-34a), Ben Poitras has pitched in 46 points (18g-28a), Libor Nemec leads the team with 23 tallies and has 44 points while Mikey DeAngelo has produced 42 points (19g-23a) in 48 games.

On the blue line, Chris Romaine, whose mop lacks the suggested lettuce, leads the team's defensemen with 21 helpers and 25 points. Ras mus Larsson has pitched in 15 points while Josh Player's five scores leads the team's back end.

In the cage, Green Bay has a pair of qualified netminders but really relies mostly on Adam Gajan. The Minnesota Duluth commit has appeared in 36 of the team's 52 games and sports a 20-10-3-1 record with a 3.40 GAA and .893 SV%. In backup duty, Gavin Moffat has an impressive 10-5-2-1 record, 3.05 GAA and .902 SV%.

The game is the final contest between the NTDP and Green Bay this season. Combined, Team USA holds a 3-2 record through the first five games as the U17s look to win the season series.

MADISON CAPITOLS: The U17s continue on their trip to Madison to take on the Capitols in what will be the first of four consecutive games between the Under-17 Team and Madison over the next two weeks. After Saturday's matchup (and Sunday's completion at Muskegon), Madison pays a return visit to USA Hockey Arena on March 28 before the two sides square off again in Madison for a pair of games on April 5-6 the following weekend.

Madison is currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a 26-20-4-2 record. The Capitols enter the weekend as the hottest team in the USHL, winning eight of their last 10 contests.

NTDP alum Austin Burnevik leads the team and entire league in goal scoring with 37 tallies. He's added 23 assists for 60 points, good for eigth in the league in scoring. Burnevik has already totaled the highest single-season goal marker in Madison team history. He's aided by Andrew Kuzma, who has potted 23 goals this season and James Hong and Max Nagel, who have 46 and 40 points on the campaign, respectively.

Jack Henry leads the production on the back-end as his five goals, 16 assists and 21 total points leads all Capitols defensemen.

In net, it's another NTDP alum in Carsen Musser leading the way for Madison. He has appeared in 28 games this season and recorded a 15-9-2-2 record, 2.66 GAA and .908 SV% for the Caps. Patriks Berzins has 24 games played, 11 wins and a 3.42 GAA for Madison.

MUSKEGON LUMBERJACKS: In an extremely non-traditional schedule, the U17s will finish their weekend road trip stopping by Trinity Health Arena to complete a game that was suspended back on February 17, due to a leaky pipe in the ice.

The game will resume at the beginning of the third period with the Lumberjacks ahead by a 3-0 tally.

U17 netminder Harrison Boettiger (Wheat Ridge, Colo.) was previously in net for Team USA and had 26 saves through 40 minutes, as the team's will be forced to play with the same rosters they had during the initial matchup.

After the completion of the game, it will be the U18s to finish the season series with the Lumberjacks as they finish their season with a home-and-home set on April 5-6.
