SHORTY STANDS TALL: U18 forward Brendan "Shorty" McMorrow (Lakeville, Minn.) had one of his best games of the season in the team's 5-3 win over Lincoln on Friday night.
McMorrow tallied Team USA's first two goals of the game, to first tie the game and then put the U18s ahead late in the opening period.
The University of Denver commit added an assist on Teddy Stiga's (Sudbury, Mass.) power-play score to open the third period for his third career three-point night at the NTDP, and first this season.
With the big night, the lightning-fast forward is up to 19 points (7g-12a) on the campaign, good for 12th-most by any U18 skater. Although the production snapped a four-game pointless streak, McMorrow appears to be finding his offensive stride of late. He has picked up 11 shots on net over his last four games, the most in any four-game stretch this season. The U18s are 12-3 in games that Shorty has a point this season.
