WINNING THE TIGHT ONES: The U17s managed a 4-2 win Friday night over the Madison Capitols to continue their trend of tremendous finishes in close games.

With a final score margin of one-, two- or three goals, the team is a perfect 8-0-0, including in each of their previous three wins.

APPLE PICKING:  U17 teammates Cole Hutson (Barrington, Ill.) and Max Plante (Hermantown, Minn.) have racked up 35 combined assists on the season while tallying just a trio of goals scored.

Hutson, whose 19 assists rank second on the team, picked up a helper in each game of last weekend's split with Madison.

Plante, who racked up 14 assists before netting his first goal of the season, has recorded four points (2g-2a) in six USHL games since the U17s returns from the World U17 Hockey Challenge.

MOORE POINTS, MORE FUN: Under-18 forward Oliver Moore (Mounds View, Minn.) has been the team's most productive scorer since the beginning of the U18 Five Nations as he's picked up 14 points (8g-6a) in nine games since the tournament started.

Moore has posted multi-point efforts in each of his last three games and four of his last five overall. The University of Minnesota commit sits in fourth place on the team in overall scoring with 31 points (14g-17a) in 24 games played this year. Moore earned himself an A-rating in NHL Central Scouting's Players to Watch list.

TREY DAY: Netminder Trey Augustine (South Lyon, Mich.) picked up a start with the U17s last weekend and while playing with new faces, the results were nearly the same.

The future MSU Spartan turned aside 33 of 35 shots from the Madison Capitols as he ran his record to a nearly pristine 13-0-0-1 this season.

In 14 appearances, Augustine has posted a 1.95 GAA and .934 save percentage, both of which would be all-time single-season marks at the NTDP.

In his last six appearances, Augustine has stepped up his game even more, winning all six decisions with a 1.15 GAA and .956 SV%.

FOUR NATIONS: Next week, the Under-17 Team will head to Romanshorn, Switzerland for a Four Nations tournament, their second international competition of the season.

The U17s will square off with Sweden, Slovakia and host Switzerland as they look to maintain their perfect international record.
