The 2025 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge took place in Truro, Nova Scotia from October 31st- November 8th
Team USA competed against Canada White in pre-tournament play. In preliminary action they played Finland and Canada Red. The U.S. went 0-2-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-SOL) in the preliminary round to earn the first seed and a bye for the quarters before falling to Canada White 8-7, in overtime, in the semifinals. In the Third-Place game, they defeated Czechia, 3-1.
Brayden Willis (Gilbert, Ariz.), who finished the tournament second in points (4GP - 5G, 7A), and Diego Gutierrez (Flower Mound, Texas), who finished tied for fourth in points for all defenseman (4GP - 0G, 5A), were named to the All-Star Team.
