Team USA Aims to Strike Down the Aces; U18s Ghost the Phantoms

Both teams stay at home for USHL play

NTDP Notebook Week of Feb. 19-25

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 57-23-0-3-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL-T) record after both teams won its respective Five Nations tournaments. The U.S. National Under-17 Team was perfect in Finland as they won the 2018 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament. The U17s beat Russia (W, 5-4), Sweden (W, 10-2), Finland (W, 3-1), and the Czech Republic (W, 8-3) on the way to victory. The U.S. National Under-18 Team won the 2018 Under-18 Five Nations tournament hosted at USA Hockey Arena. The U18s won games against Russia (W, 5-4), Sweden (W, 5-1), and Finland (W, 4-0); they lost one  game to the Czech Republic (L, 6-2).

NTDP Notebook Week of Feb. 19-25

The U17s and U18s play hosts this weekend in a three-game homestand at USA Hockey Arena. The U18s play the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Friday night (Feb. 23) at 7:05 p.m. ET. The following night (Saturday, Feb. 24), the U17s battle the Flying Aces at 7:05 p.m ET. On Sunday (Feb. 25), the U18s host the Youngstown Phantoms in a matinee game at 3:05 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 26-14-0-3 | U17: 31-9-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)


Team USA USHL Record: 24-11-0-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 49 PTS in 36 GP, tied for 1st place in the Eastern Conference
