Seventeen current Under-18 Team players and eight former NTDP players were named on the NHL Central Scouting’s Mid-Season Rankings for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Topping the list are alums Brady Tkachuk (2015-17/ Boston University) and Quinn Hughes (2015-17/University of Michigan) at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass.) is the highest rated current skater for the NTDP at No. 7. He is followed by: Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.) at No. 11, Mattias Samuelsson (Vorhees, N.J.) at No. 17 and Patrick Giles (Chevy Chase, M.D.) at No. 19.
Also on the list are current players: Bode Wilde (Birmingham, Mich.) at No. 22, K’Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minn.) at No. 31, Jonathan Gruden (Rochester, Mich.) at No. 48, Ty Emberson (Eau Claire, Wis.) at No. 57, Adam Samuelsson (San Diego, Calif.) at No. 66, Jake Pivonka (Naperville, Ill.) at No. 69, Tyler Weiss (Raleigh, N.C.) at No. 71, Gavin Hain (Grand Rapids, Minn.) at No. 85, Spencer Stastney (Mequon, Wix.) at No. 114, Jack DeBoer (Madison, N.J.) at No. 197, Erik Middendorf (Scottsdale, Ariz.) at No. 206.
Jake Wise (Reading, Mass.) was on the list under “Limited Viewing.”
Other alums on the list include: Blade Jenkins (Saginaw Spirit /2016-17) at No. 24, Logan Hutsko (Boston College/ 2015-17) at No. 123, and Patrick Khodorenko (Michigan State University/ 2014-16) at 128.
Both current U18 goaltenders made the list of the top North American goaltenders with Jonathan Mor (Highland Park, Il.) coming in at No. 15 and Drew DeRidder (Fenton, Mich.) at No. 28.
Alum goaltenders, Keegan Karki (Muskegon Lumberjacks/ 2016-17) at No. 7, Adam Scheel (Penticton Vees/ 2015-17) at No. 23 and Ryan Ullan (Bismark Bobcats/ 2016-17) at No. 24 also made the list.
