U18s Fall to Fargo, 6-1

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The U.S. National Under-18 Team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Fargo Force tonight at USA Hockey Arena.

With the loss, the U18s are now13-9-0 (W-L-T) on the season.

The Force opened the scoring early in the first period while Jonathan Mor (Highland, Ill.) came up with a late period save to keep the game at 1-0 going into the second period.

Fargo added two goals in the second and three more in the third.

Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Conn.) buried a rebound goal late in the third period for the lone Team USA goal of the night. Adam Samuelsson (San Diego, Calif.) powered a shot from the point that deflected off Gavin Hain’s (Grand Rapid, Minn.) stick and into the crease where Wahlstrom pounced on the loose puck. Both earned assists on the play.

Mor finished with 19 saves on the night. His record is now 4-5-0 overall and 1-1-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) in USHL play.

The U18s return to action against the University of Michigan tomorrow night (Dec. 2) at USA Hockey Arena at 7 p.m. ET.
