Seventeen Current NTDP Players Named on NHL Central Scouting List

Five players with ties to the NTDP among "A" rated prospects

Seventeen players currently on the U.S. National Under-18 Team roster and eight former NTDP players  were named to the NHL Central Scouting’s list of “players to watch” for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Players listed as “A” skaters who are probable to go in the first round of the 2018 Draft are forwards Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.) and Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass.) and defenseman Mattias Samuelsson (Voorhees, N.J.).

NTDP alums, Quinn Hughes (University of Michigan/ 2015-17) and Brady Tkachuk (Boston University/ 2015-17) were also listed as “A” skaters.

Skaters tabbed as “B” skaters, likely to go in the 2nd or 3rd round, is forward Jonathan Gruden (Rochester, Mich.) and defensemen Ty Emberson (Eau Claire, Wis.), K’Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minn.), Adam Samuelsson (San Diego, Calif.), and Bode Wilde (Birmingham, Mich.).

Patrick Giles (Chevy Chase, Md.), Jake Goldowski (Thornhurst, Pa.), Gavin Hain (Grand Rapids, Minn.), Erik Middendorf (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Jake Pivonka (Naperville, Ill.), Spencer Stastney (Mequon, Wis.), Tyler Weiss (Raleigh, N.C.), and Jake Wise (Reading, Mass.) were all listed as “C” skaters and probable 4th, 5th, or 6th round picks. Jonathan Mor (Highland Park, Ill.) was also listed as a “C” goaltender.

Previous NTDP players, Blade Jenkins (Saginaw Spirit/2016-17), Keegan Karki (Omaha Lancers/2016-17), Nate Knoepke (University of Minnesota/2015-17), Tommy Miller (Michigan State University/ 2015-17), Michael Pastujov (University of Michigan/ 2015-17), and Ryan Ullan (Bismark Bobcats/ 2016-17) were also listed as “C” skaters and goaltenders.
