Under-18 Team Shuts out Cedar Rapids in 1-0 Win

Dylan. St Cyr Turns Away 15 Shots in First Career Shutout

Goaltender Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.) backed the U.S. National Under-18 Team to its first shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Thursday at USA Hockey Arena.

The two teams played to a scoreless first period, despite the U.S. holding Cedar Rapids to only two shots on net. 

At 10:45 of the second period, Logan Cockerill (Brighton, Mich.) finished the puck with a top-shelf shot off a give-and-go with Scott Reedy (Prior Lake, Minn.) for the only goal of the game.

Team USA outshot the RoughRiders, 38-15, in the win.

The U18’s will be back at USA Hockey Arena at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday against the Bloomington Thunder of the United States Hockey League.

NOTES: Dylan St. Cyr turned away 15 shots in the win and earned his first career shutout as a member of the NTDP.
