The U.S. National Under-17 Team dropped their final matchup of the weekend on the road on Sunday evening to the Sioux Falls Stampede, 6-1, at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Jonathan Gruden (Rochester, Mich.) tallied Team USA’s goal late in the third period off passes from Mattias Samuelsson (Voorhees, NJ.) and Tyler Weiss (Raleigh, N.C.).
Keegan Karki (Sartell, Minn.) was in net for the U.S. and had 31 saves on the night.
The Stampede outshot Team USA 37-32.
The U17s are on the road next weekend in Alaska for a pair of North American Hockey League matchups with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. The first matchup is at 11:30 p.m. ET on Friday at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
