Dylan St. Cyr Stops 29-of-29 Shots

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Brady Tkachuk (St. Louis, Mo.) and Joey Cassetti (Pleasanton, Calif.) each notched a goal as the U.S. National Under-17 Team lost to the Fargo Force, 4-2, tonight at USA Hockey Arena.

Fargo opened the scoring just 52 seconds into the first frame. Three additional Force tallies, scored within 5:13, pushed the lead to four. Following the fourth goal, the U.S. opted to switch netminders, bringing in Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.), who closed the period stopping 12-of-12 shots.

Team USA notched the lone goal in the middle stanza. Quinn Hughes (Orlando, Fla.) started the play on the right wing and fired a pass to Tkachuk in the left circle. Tkachuk snapped a wrist shot past Fargo goaltender Robbie Beydoun to put the U.S. on the board at 12:10. All nine attempts on St. Cyr were denied as the goalie entered the third having stopped all 21 shots against.

USA continued to battle hard in the final frame, and St. Cyr kicked out all eight Fargo shots he faced to keep the U17s in the game. On a failed Fargo clearing attempt, Tkachuk fed Cassetti near the top of the crease, and Cassetti backhanded it past the Fargo netminder for the 4-2 final score.

The U.S. National Under-17 Team will participate in a charity game versus the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general admission seats with proceeds benefitting "Pucks for Pasadena".
