U18s Continue College Play; U17s Face Tri-City

U18s play Michigan State, host Michigan; U17s in Nebraska

NTDP Notebook Week of Jan. 2-7

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 32-18-5-3 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s and the U17s split their weekend games. The U18s took down the Muskegon Lumberjacks Thursday afternoon (W, 9-3, Dec. 28), while the U17s fell to Waterlooo Thursday evening (L, 7-4, Dec. 28). The U17s then traveled to Green Bay, where they took down the Gamblers Friday night (W, 2-1, Dec. 29), before suffering a loss the following night (L, 5-1, Dec. 30). The U18s also hit the road as they defeated the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Saturday (W, 4-3, Dec. 30), then dropped a tight contest to the University of Minnesota on New Year's Day (L, 3-2, Jan. 1).

The U18s are taking a quick trip to East Lansing Friday (Jan. 5) to face-off against Michigan State at 7:00 p.m. ET. The following night (Saturday, Jan. 6), the U18s host the University of Michigan at 7:00 p.m. ET at USA Hockey Arena. The U17s are on the road again this weekend as they head to Kearney, Nebraska, to face the Tri-City Storm on Friday night (Jan. 5) inside the Viaero Center at 8:05 p.m. ET and again on Saturday (Jan. 6) at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 19-8-2-1 | U17: 13-10-3-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 11-13-1-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 24 PTS in 26 GP, 7th place in the Eastern Conference
